named for collection of cases that ended segregation in public schools.
The U.S. Supreme Court had consolidated these five cases under one name, Oliver Brown et al. v. the Board of Education of Topeka.
There are many different thoughts on the subject and there was not one overall favorite.
This collection of cases was the culmination of years of legal groundwork laid by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People
Cases were in Delaware, Kansas, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington, DC.

This has a chance to change the decision that seemed to be pretty equal before Vinson died.
